Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg visits Walmart officials in Bentonville

Mark Zuckerberg (center) poses for a photo with Facebook employees and Walmart officials at the retailer’s Bentonville headquarters.

Mark Zuckerberg is in Northwest Arkansas this weekend to try and add a few friends from the world’s largest retailer.

The billionaire (bazillionaire?) Facebook chief executive is meeting Friday with Walmart officials at the company’s headquarters in Bentonville. Zuckerberg and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg will speak to Walmart employees during the company’s monthly meeting on Saturday.

The two companies are reportedly discussing ways to “deepen” their relationship.

The monthly morning meetings are led by Walmart CEO Mike Duke, and typically include business updates. Celebrities are also commonly spotted during the meetings, with Harrison Ford, Emilio Estevez, Peyton Manning, and others appearing at past events.

Zuckerberg posted the above photo with members of the Walmart team on his own Facebook page earlier today.

Who cares!! But it is a good sign the apocalypse is on schedule. This is how it starts when these two evils meet. Dec 12th can’t get here soon enough.

Its Dec 21st, not the 12th. And this is weird that they are meeting…I bet they are planning a hostile takeover. Oh, on a side note, my sister works at that headquarters, I wonder if she saw him today!! I live in the area too, that would be strange if I ran into him, but I doubt it!

Yeah it’s super unusual that in a part of the state with only 5% African-American or Black population that there wouldn’t be a single one among 18 people. Why aren’t there 0.9 people of color here? I want an explanation, too.

That is a lot of white people. I guess Walmart really does sell everything!

Actually, if you stand outside the Wal-mart ISD building at 5:30 pm each day, you will see a very diverse workforce emerge. 25 years ago Bentonville and Wal-mart may have been white, but I think most people would be surprised at the diversity today. I’m not sure why that’s not represented in this photo. My husband is in upper management, and his last 3 bosses (VP level)have been people of color…and two were women. Hubby is Indian-American himself. Wal-mart been very good to us and to the seven members of my family who work at the Home Office.

Dont you dare say something positive about Walmart on here. Granted, it sustains the entire regions and a lot of the states economy, but you must follow the company line that it is the devil or else……..

Predictions of Facebook’s world domination are greatly exaggerated. The more focused FB is on making money (see above), the less appeal it will have. Plus you’d think at some point people would tire of the ego-feeding redundancy. Even if you type left handed it’s still just social masturbation.
