New Flyer Sponsor: Jose’s Restaurant & Cantina

A whole lot of fun has been had at 324 W. Dickson Street over the years.

That’s the address where Joe Fennel first opened Jose’s Restaurant and Cantina over thirty years ago, and since then, a whole lot of tacos have been eaten, probably even more margaritas have been consumed, and a countless number of dancing feet have strutted their stuff inside (or Streetside) of that building.

Joe gave it up for a few years to focus on his fine dining establishment, Bordinos, but recently re-purchased the restaurant with business partner Doug Allen, and re-opened earlier this summer.

Streetside lookin’ sharp

Mmm. Margaritas.

Booth TVs

We’re happy to announce that Jose’s is the newest sponsor of the Fayetteville Flyer (if you haven’t already figured that out) and for those of you who haven’t been there in a while, let us tell you. You haven’t been to Jose’s.

The restaurant was totally remodeled inside and out, scrubbed, refurbished, and re-decorated with some of the original memorabilia from the restaurant’s early days. Personalized televisions line each of the booths in the bar area. Even the Streetside patio looks brand new, with fresh paint and new landscaping.

The food is better, made with fresher ingredients. The service has improved. And the margaritas are still flowing like…margaritas.

There are plenty of new specials, too. Weekdays, you can get a burger, fries, and a drink for just $5.99 for lunch. Monday night is $5 domestic pitcher night. Tuesday is “Summer, Suds, Sandals and Cycles” night, which is a bicycle-themed night with $3 large Pacifico drafts, live music, and giveaways from local bike shops. Wednesday is “Karaoke Krazy” with $3 margaritas.

Thursday is still Bike Night, which has become a tradition of its own on Dickson Street, with $5 Margavesa’s (it is what it sounds like).

Streetside is still hoppin’ with local live music every Friday and Saturday night, and Sunday is Fun Day with $2 23-oz. drafts, $3 Bloody Mary’s. Also on Sunday, kids eat for free!

We’re excited to be working with the new Jose’s, and we hope you’ll help us welcome them to the Flyer Family.

Now, say it with us, “Chimichanga, Chimichanga, Chimichanga.”

And, “Ole for Jose’s!”
