Hundreds of locals in attendance at “A Night for Eugenius,” the fundraiser for artist Eugene Sargent, raised $20,000 to help defray medical costs associated with Sargent’s recent Lymphoma diagnosis.

Less than a month after announcing an election bid, Martin Bemberg has decided to drop out of the race to become the next Ward 2 representative on the Fayetteville City Council.

Fayetteville’s hotel, motel and restaurant (HMR) tax receipts continue to rise this year. Here’s the latest report.
