Put on your Paul Stanley makeup, and your Kiss t-shirt, and drive your Gene Simmons Volkswagen Bug to the Lightbulb Club Saturday night.

Some local dudes have formed a one-night-only Kiss tribute band called Godz of Thunder, and they’ll be rocking and rolling all night on Saturday, July 28.

Ruben Regalado (Perpetual Werewolf), Brian Abel (Fauxnz), Jason Rich (The Good Fear), and Charlie Rausch (Fauxnz) will be in full makeup for the show, and will perform songs from the band’s early career.

“We’re doing songs from the first record up to Love Gun,” Rich said.

Admission is free, and attendees will also be able to get their hands on an 8-song CD featuring four Kiss covers each recorded by Abel and Rich at the show.

According to the Facebook event, the bar will also be showing vintage Kiss films, and will have Kiss-themed drink specials all night.

“I think the idea is to have a big old Kiss celebration,” Rich told us. “It should be a good time.”

Sounds awesome to us.
