A crew works to replace a section of sidewalk on Mountain Street between College Avenue and the downtown Fayetteville square.

A renovation project that will add new sidewalks with brick borders, trees and streetlights to three streets is underway in downtown Fayetteville.

The Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission on Monday chose Ching Mong, owner of Formosa Chinese Restaurant, to replace outgoing commissioner Brandon Karn.

Speaking of the A&P Commission, the group’s decision to contribute $1 million toward construction of a performance hall on the University of Arkansas campus is on hold while commissioners await a written opinion from Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel.

We posted a brief interview with Gregory Alan Isakov, who is set to perform twice during the 2012 Fayetteville Roots Festival.
