Police seized 34.5 pounds of marijuana and arrested one man on drug charges last week in Fayetteville.

Joshuna Malcolm, 33, of Fayetteville, was arrested in connection with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives with the Fourth Judicial Drug Task Force seized the marijuana and $9,102 in cash after serving a search warrant on Aug. 17 at 957 W. Hughes St., according to a news release.

The Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force is comprised of Fayetteville, Springdale, Prairie Grove, Lincoln, Farmington, West Fork, Greenland, Johnson, Elm Springs, Elkins Police Departments, the City of Goshen, and the Washington and Madison County Sheriff’s Offices.

Whew, that was tense! Fayetteville was dangerously close to “laid back and mellow.” Thanks, guys.

It’s a damn shame they didn’t seize some meth or something harmful. Oh no! People are getting high on a natural growing herb that has never killed anyone! Let’s all get drunk since that’s legal. We could go beat our wives, neglect our children and hmmmmm….DRIVE! That’s a good idea! It’s too bad these potheads weren’t alcoholics instead. Then they would have been a much safer group to let out and ravage this town. Stupid pigs…why don’t you chase the BAD guys? You know?! The ones who actually commit crimes with a victim. I bet they’re so proud that they’re being paid to put people in prison for absolutely no reason. Have fun sleeping at night when you get your head out of your ace, and realize what you’ve done.

This guy obviously was using all this weed for personal use. No way was he intending to deliver to young kids or anything. Im sure he wasnt going to profit from it either. SimPle mistake by the law I bet.

To claim that this guy is selling to children is pretty ridiculous.

twinkie factory does more damage to southern children than any pot, except for when the pot leads to twinkies

    Dang!

There was a missing brick on the side of Kimpel Hall just off the sidewalk that I always wondered about being a drug drop off point. Wonder if anyone ever tried it

We should sell that 35 lbs to dispensaries in other states and have free parking for a month for everybody in Fayetteville.
