News Briefs

A sign at Spring Street and East Avenue directs cyclists toward Frisco Trail. The signs are one of several approved changes and upcoming additions as part of the Spring Street Bikeway.

Wayfinding signs are being installed this week along Spring Street in downtown Fayetteville as part of the newly designated Spring Street Bikeway.

The third annual Fayetteville Roots Festival kicks off today and continues through Sunday. We put together a handy guide that includes music lineups, local food menus and a map of the festivities.

Officials with Ranger’s Pantry, the city’s pet food bank, hope to stock the shelves with a ton of pet food during the “Pounds for Paws” food drive. Literally.

The newest additions to the Fayetteville Schools Hall of Honor were announced last week during a luncheon at Jose’s Mexican Restaurant sponsored by the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.
