The Fayetteville A&P Commission recently designed and purchased 96 banners to replace the faded and damaged light pole signs that were installed as part of a Dickson Street enhancement project more than a decade ago.
Those in attendance were treated to a surprise live performance by David Grisman’s Folk Jazz Trio who took the stage for a few songs.
New Jose’s owner Doug Allen said he hopes to lead efforts to bring back the tradition in 2013.
