Following significant rainfall over the weekend, officials lifted burn bans in Fayetteville and Springdale, clearing the way for fireworks make-up days in those cities.

The Fayetteville City Council last month approved a resolution to allow for the use of fireworks on Labor Day in light of a citywide burn ban which prohibited residents from shooting fireworks during Fourth of July celebrations.

Fayetteville fireworks are allowed from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday, Sep. 3.

In Springdale, residents may shoot fireworks from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday.

Alright, everyone. I’m going to need you not to tell my neighborhood about this.

If we tortured pets any other way we would be arrested, but we find this an acceotable means of killing flocks of birds and scaring the animals.

Hmmm… Well its going to happen tonight in our neighborhood, anyway. Can anyone remind me what the penalty is? I can’t imagine it being strictly enforced this evening.
