Thanks to a Michigan loss and a South Carolina scare, Arkansas moved up two spots to No. 8 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 college football poll.

The Razorbacks (1-0) were ranked No. 10 before their 49-24 win over Jacksonville State Saturday evening in Fayetteville.

Michigan moved from No. 8 to No. 19 after a 41-14 loss to Alabama. South Carolina, who narrowly escaped a loss at Vanderbilt, dropped one spot from No. 8 to a tie for No. 9 with West Virginia.

This week marks Arkansas’ 13th consecutive Top 10 AP ranking, with only Oregon (15), LSU (19) and Alabama (19) having longer active streaks.

The Razorbacks take on Louisiana-Monroe at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 inside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
