University of Arkansas listed among top party schools

Earlier today, the Razorback football team was ranked in the Top 10 of the Associated Press poll for the 13th consecutive time.

Shortly after that, we found out the University of Arkansas recently made it into an entirely different Top 10 list.

Arkansas was ranked No. 4 on the “Fifty Shades of Cray,” a list of the top party schools as complied by college ranking website Unigo.com and The Huffington Post.

According to the site, over 30,000 students voted in the 2013 rankings in a variety of categories, including happiest sudents, hipster colleges, unique traditions, and others.

Fellow SEC schools Ole Miss and Georgia also made the list, and the University of South Florida landed at No. 1.

Fifty Shades of Cray – Top 10 Party Schools

1. University of Florida
2. Arizona State University
3. Ohio University
4. University of Arkansas
5. Indiana University – Bloomington
6. Florida State University
7. University of California – Santa Barbara
8. University of Maryland – College Park
9. University of Mississippi
10. University Of Georgia

Remember, you can always re-take a class but never re-live a party!

When you visit the link, #1 is the University of Florida, not South Florida. Big difference

    Staff note: Thanks. Corrected.

I would like to know where I can rent this magical “Party-O-Meter” that allows one to determine the relative “Party-ness” of a school.

I think its a complex algorithm comprised of per capita liquor consumption, prophylactic use, facebook activity, and moped sales, multiplied by the number of Snoopdog and Skrillex shows in the past year, and divided by the number of Girls Gone Wild videos filmed.

But what if no Girls Gone Wild videos were filmed?

They probably somehow factor in the number of students who have Etsy stores. (I suspect that fewer is better.)

Lol, yes, Etsy stores count against the total score. There is, indeed, an error in Girls Gone Wild video section of the Algorithm. It should be 1+Total Number of GGW Videos. This is a Classy Party School List, otherwise the Struthers School for Typing and TV/VCR Repair down in South Padre would win every year.

If you are “dividing” by number of Girls Gone Wild videos, then party-ness decreases with increasing topless girls, contrary to popular belief.
