From everything we’ve heard, TheatreSquared has a hit on their hands with the hilarious new show Noises Off, now playing at Nadine Baum Studios.
Our reviewer, Tobias Wray, loved the show, and predicted it will get even better later in its four-week run. “I think the latter half of the Noises Off run could really be dangerous, once this sizeable and undeniably talented cast polishes the edges on this four-alarm romp,” wrote Wray. “I’ll be seeing this one again.”
If you haven’t seen the show yet, or if you want to see it again once the seasoned actors really hit their stride, you’ll be happy to know that we have two pair of tickets to the Sunday, Sept. 16 performance of the show to give away. Win ‘em!

Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal: growing up. We didn’t have much money for entertainment. PBS had one of the few channels we could get on our little black and white set. That’s where I was first introduced to Jim Henson’s creations. The Muppet Show was also a staple of my childhood, so when Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal came out, created darker themes from the same great Jim Henson puppetry, I was amazed. The craftsmanship of the puppets, blended with the unique storytelling gift that Jim Henson had, that was what made them worth watching again and again.
PS: It was also a good way of getting hot goth girls to come over, just saying.
I hope you have since watched those movies in color. They are quite vivid.
For plays, I love Mamma Mia. For books, Where the Red Fern Grows, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Charm School by Nelson DeMille are all must “multi-reads”!!
