Local poet and musician Martin Bemberg will release a new collection of his poetry entitled “twenty-four & two” at a poetry reading scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 at Nightbird Books.

Bemberg and fellow Fayetteville poet Sabine Schmidt will read from their work during the event.

After the reading, Bemberg (Memphis Pencils) will debut a new music project called Spouse Set, featuring Joe Alexander on drums. The band released a 10-track recording recently on Bandcamp, and the show will mark their first ever live performance.

The show is free to attend. A bit more information is available on the Facebook page for the event.
