The 207-room hotel, formerly known as the Cosmopolitan Hotel, underwent a complete, top-to-bottom redesign and renovation.

The Chancellor Hotel officially opened its doors Friday morning following a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony held in the lobby of the newly renovated facility in downtown Fayetteville. Here are some photos from the inside of the new hotel.

Since beginning our regular HMR sales tax reports earlier this year, we’ve had several requests to publish a more specific report showing only the numbers from the Dickson Street area since the city’s paid parking program began in mid-August 2010. Here is that report.

Coming off a devastating loss to Louisiana-Monroe last weekend, the Arkansas football team suffered its first shutout in Fayetteville since 1966 with a 52-0 loss to No. 1 Alabama. Columnist Seth Gunderson takes a look at what the two losses could say about this year’s coaching staff.
