Busker-turned-pop star Andy Grammer will play a free show in Fayetteville next month.

Grammer will perform at the Arkansas Music Pavilion at a show sponsored by University of Arkansas’ University Programs on Monday, Oct. 8.

The pop star got his start as a street performer on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, before eventually breaking into the Los Angeles club scene, and ultimately landing himself a recording contract with S Curve Records. His self-titled 2011 album featured the single “Keep Your Head Up,” and the video for the track starred Rain Wilson of NBC’s The Office.

Fellow pop artist Chris Wallace, and dance-y, disco-y band Space Capone will open the show.

The show is free to current University of Arkansas Fayetteville students through the Student Activities Fee, and students must show university ID for entrance. Admission for general public is free and contingent upon seating availability. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Buses will be provided from the University of Arkansas Union to the AMP at 6 p.m. and buses will be provided for transportation after the concert.

For special accommodations due to disability, please contact the Office of Student Activities, osa@uark.edu or call 479-575-5255.

If you don’t know Space Capone you need to! This is a funk band out of Nashville. They have been touring all over or the last few years and are about to release their third album on iTunes. Tons of fun and they just make you want to dance!
