News Briefs

University of Arkansas students, parents, alumni and faculty gather outside the Pi Beta Phi Centennial Gate shortly before an official dedication ceremony Friday afternoon on the UA campus.

The University of Arkansas and Pi Beta Phi communities celebrated the dedication of the recently completed Pi Beta Phi Centennial Gate Friday afternoon in Fayetteville. The gate, located on Maple Street at the intersection of the former Campus Drive near Memorial Hall, was built in commemoration of the chapter’s 100-year anniversary on campus.

Those who have visited Dickson Street over the past week or so may have noticed a graphic featuring a nearly six-foot-tall Russian boar on the side of the Hog Haus Brewing Company building.

Fayetteville residents will have several opportunities to learn more about the candidates running for mayor and City Council during a series of independently organized public forums planned throughout next week.

Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova finished with a career-high 397 passing yards and five touchdowns in a 35-26 win over Arkansas Saturday night in Fayetteville.

As frustration sets in for fans of Hogs football, here are the harsh realities surrounding Arkansas’ terrible start to the 2012 football season.

Jimmy Herring 4 jazz-fusion fans and Widespread Panic / Grateful Dead fans as well. This is going to slay so hard. All the musicians in this band are absolutely killer on their instruments. If you enjoy the complexities of music and improvisation, GO.

See you at the show. Dgold, Honest Tunes Radio
