The 2012 Lights of the Ozarks season runs from Nov. 17 through the end of the year on the Fayetteville downtown square.

A kickoff event is planned for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 which includes a lighting ceremony and parade that will start at the Fayetteville Public Library and make its way up Mountain Street toward the square. The parade will feature holiday-themed floats created by local clubs, organizations, and businesses.

Following the parade, photos with Santa Claus will be available on Center Street.

As usual, Lights of the Ozarks includes nightly carriage rides, camel rides and pony rides.

Aside from lights on the square, the Washington County Fairgrounds will host its drive-through holiday light display each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning Nov. 24 and running through Dec. 22. The fairgrounds display includes a cost of $5 per car.
