The Avett Brothers will play a 7:30 p.m. show tonight at the Arkansas Music Pavilion.

The Fayetteville City’s Council’s 21-member Town and Gown Advisory Committee met for the first time on Monday. The group spent a majority of the meeting introducing members, drawing lots for citizen appointees, electing a chairman and secretary, and deciding when to hold regular meetings going forward.

The Fayetteville City Council meets tonight at 6 p.m. inside City Hall room 219. Here’s what to expect.

Fresco Cafe is giving away four tickets to see TheatreSquared’s Period of Adjustment. That news and more are in this week’s Flyer Sponsor post.

Kickoff is set for 11:21 a.m. for the Arkansas-Ole Miss football game on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The game will be televised by the SEC Network.

      Turned out to be more of a 7:30 start too, which caught us a bit late. The calendar said 8.
