Mr. Tucker

Update: Mr. Tucker was adopted on Thursday.

Meet Mr. Tucker, a 3-year-old Pointer Hound who loves to run around in the woods. He would make a great fishing or hunting buddy, but he’s also good on a leash and would be just as happy going on a walk around town if someone were to give him a new home. The ladies at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter said he’s been kind of sad about being without a home lately, but with just a little love, he’d be back to his old self.

He can fetch and sit, and he was very patient when offered a treat. He was a little nervous about our camera lens, but didn’t show any aggression at all. Mr. Tucker is a really nice guy.

If you’re interested in meeting him, make sure to ask for Mr. Tucker. There’s another dog named Tucker at the shelter right now.

Gems

Gems is a 6-month-old kitty who is sharing a cage with her sister Tigerlily. We had our eye on Tigerlily since she was hanging out in the cat hammock, but Gems was way too cute so we switched gears. She followed our camera all around her cage and even stepped on her sister once while trying to strike a pose. This is one cute kitty.

If you’d like to meet either of this week’s featured pets or any of the other wonderful animals at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter, call 444-3456 or stop by the shelter during adoption hours at 1640 S. Armstrong Avenue.
