News Briefs

A SWEPCO crew works to install a utility pole Wednesday near the corner of West Avenue and Maple Street as part of the ongoing development of Sterling Frisco, a 637-bedroom downtown student apartment complex.

The 11th Annual Trick or Treat on the Square event is set for 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 on the Fayetteville downtown square.

There’s another cash mob event coming up, and instead of visiting one or two small businesses, this time the group will visit five local places, all on wheels.

A deer jumped through the window of a Fayetteville home Tuesday morning, according to several reports.

With the general election just weeks away, Fayetteville residents have probably noticed political signs appearing on seemingly every street corner and along every popular thoroughfare in town. According to some candidates, however, political signs are disappearing almost as quickly as they’re popping up.
