Razorback head basketball coach Mike Anderson is taking his show down the road this year. His radio show, that is.

Anderson’s live show, ‘Mike’d Up’ will move to a new location for the the 2012-13 season, at local barbecue restaurant Sassy’s Red House.

The weekly hour-long show begins at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, and gives fans an opportunity to learn more about the Razorback program with Anderson giving his thoughts on games and practice, interviews with student-athletes and a question-and-answer period from the live audience.

Allen Brumett, owner of the restaurant, said he was thrilled to be hosting the show. “I’ve always been a Hog fan, so for me, this is awesome,” said Brumett. “Plus, we just feel like Mike’s got the Hogs headed in the right direction, and we’re excited to be a part of that.”

Anderson echoed Brumett’s excitement.

“I had an opportunity to visit with Allen and Shawna Brumett recently and their enthusiasm about hosting Mike’d Up at Sassy’s excites me,” Anderson said. “I look forward to a packed house each and every week.”

The 12-show schedule runs weekly with time off for the holiday season and the men’s basketball travel schedule. Future dates include Dec. 10 and 17; Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28; Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25; and March 11.

Mike’d Up will be carried on 49 radio affiliates across the Razorback Sports Network from IMG College, covering the entire state of Arkansas.

Anderson and the Razorbacks open the 2012-13 season on Friday, Nov. 9, when they take on Sam Houston State at Bud Walton Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
