Better get your Farmers’ Market fix while you can, Fayetteville. The last market on the square of the season is this Saturday, Nov. 17.
Moses Kingsley, a 6-10, 220 center, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Arkansas.
The Humane Society of the Ozarks is seeking foster families for over 65 Chihuahuas rescued last week in West Fork.
Nearly three years to the day since first hearing Mayor Lioneld Jordan’s idea for a downtown parking deck, the Fayetteville City Council will be offered three options on where to build it.
Friday events, Nov. 16
Remember that Bear Colony album release party we told you about earlier this week? It’s happening on Friday at George’s. The band will have vinyl and CD copies of the 13-track album, Soft Eyes for $15/$10 each. Silent Waits the Archer and Friday Maybe Saturday will open the show.
There’s a rock show at the The Lightbulb Club as well. Local bands Thunderlizards, The Chads, Wolfwhistle and Shook Yang will perform. The cover is $3, and you can probably get one of these new Thunderlizards stickers featuring original art by Nick Shoulders.
For jokes, you best bet is UARK Bowl as usual. Friday night, they’ve got a performance by comics JR Brow and Jason Brown. Shows start at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Saturday events, Nov. 17
As mentioned above, Saturday marks the final day for the Farmers’ Market on the Fayetteville Square this season. The market will be open from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Better get your fix while you can.
Damn Arkansan is back in action at Smoke & Barrel Tavern with The Great Scotts Saturday night. If you missed their album release last week, you can probably grab a copy of The Great Scotts new record while you’re there.
Listen to a couple tracks by Eyes of Iron from their Bandcamp page. They’re a badass local metal outfit, and they’ll be at The Lightbulb Club with Russelville band Sound Of The Mountain.
For more laughs, how about checking out Phunbags Comedy Improv at UARK Bowl? The show starts at 8 p.m.
Also Saturday night, the Lights of the Ozarks Parade and lighting ceremony will take place on the Fayetteville Square beginning at 6 p.m.
