The first LEED Platinum certified apartment complex in the State of Arkansas continues to rack up accolades. This time, on an international level.

Fayetteville-based Specialized Real Estate Group won the 2012 LEED for Homes Award for Outstanding Multifamily Project for its ECO Modern Flats complex during the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo awards ceremony held on Thursday, Nov. 15 in San Francisco.

The award was one of seven presented at the ceremony conducted last week by the US Green Building Council to recognize projects, developers and homebuilders that have demonstrated leadership in the residential green building marketplace.

“There are so many impressive projects across the country, we are honored to bring this award home to Fayetteville,” said Jeremy Hudson, Specialized Real Estate Group partner and CEO. “This recognition reinforces our commitment to create multifamily communities that are best in class not only in Northwest Arkansas, but on an international level.”

Joining Hudson in accepting the award were Specialized Partner and President Seth Mims, Vice President Corey Runnells, co-developer Robert Dant, and architect Chris Baribeau of Modus Studio.

“We knew that ECO was special, but it’s great to hear it on such a large stage,” Mims said. “This honor is shared with the whole team of local designers, builders, and craftsmen who created ECO Modern Flats.”

ECO Modern Flats is located at 130 S. Hill Avenue, just south of the University of Arkansas campus near downtown Fayetteville.

Glad to see an apartment column that doesn’t involve Lindsey and Sweetser.

Good job guys. I knew who this was before clicking the link. At least I guessed right, based on the work this company does.
