Fayetteville police help direct traffic through the new roundabout at the new roundabout at North Hills Boulevard at Futrall Drive near Washington Regional Medical Center.

Alan Long defeated Mike Emery by 123 votes Tuesday night to become the newest alderman on the Fayetteville City Council. Long, 31, will replace outgoing Ward 4 Alderwoman Sarah Lewis in the Position 2 seat.

Specialized Real Estate Group, the team behind Eco Modern Flats and several other planned apartment complexes in Fayetteville, has plans for another project.

The Fayetteville Public Library is conducting a pet food drive to benefit the Ranger’s Pantry pet food bank through Sunday, Dec. 23. Residents are asked to drop off canned and dry cat and dog food donations at the Children’s Desk where they’ll be placed under the library’s Christmas tree.

A report out of Louisiana indicate LSU head coach Les Miles has been offered a job here at Arkansas. Could there be any truth to that report or is it all just a smokescreen?
