Expect a Thunder on the Mountain lineup announcement Wednesday, Dec. 5

Update: Here is the initial lineup.

Anyone excited about the upcoming Thunder on the Mountain country music festival should stay glued to the internet Wednesday morning.

According to festival organizers, the lineup will be announced at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 on the festival’s Facebook page.

Similar to the Wakarusa and Harvest festivals, Thunder on the Mountain will take place over three days and will include four stages on Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas.

The inaugural festival is scheduled for June 6-8, one week after the 2013 installment of Wakarusa.

We’ve heard that event organizers hope to make Thunder on The Mountain a Midwest version of major country music festivals like Stagecoach and WE Fest which usually feature artists like Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers.

We’ll post more info as soon as it’s available.

Besides Facebook, Thunder on the Mountain info is also available at thunderonthemountain.com and on Twitter at @THUNDERontheMTN.
