3 Penny Acre, Groovement, and Randall Shreve & The Sideshow will headline the 2012 installment of Last Night Fayetteville, it was announced this week.
The New Year’s Eve celebration that debuted last year will return to the Fayetteville square on Dec. 31, 2012, and will include music, art, theatre, a parade, fireworks, and other activities.
Emily Kaitz, Still on the Hill, Phunbags Comedy Improv, NWA Comedians, Artist’s Laboratory Theatre, and Terra-Nova Belly Dancers, are just some of the local musicians and artists groups that will perform at various venues around the square this year.
Kid-friendly activities include music by Shaky Bugs and Jason Suel, juggling by Jugglology, and a giant puppet parade by JoAnn Kaminsky.
A “Hog drop,” (similar to the ball-drop in Times Square) featuring a 8.5-foot-hog sculpture is set for at midnight as attendees count down the arrival of the New Year.
Admission is $10 in advance for adults and $5 for children. VIP tickets are available for $50, and include access to the VIP lounge which includes live jazz, hors d’oeuvres and champagne.
