Wilson Park tennis courts 5 and 6 will be closed through January during a renovation project.

A tennis court renovation project is underway at Wilson Park, and will require closure of courts 5 and 6 throughout construction.

The city of Fayetteville has earned a 2012 Arkansas Business City of Distinction award for technology advancements, thanks to the University of Arkansas-owned Arkansas Research and Technology Park.

The final City Council meeting of the year is tomorrow and includes 12 items on the New Business agenda.

Other public meetings scheduled this week include the Town and Gown Advisory Committee, new aldermen orientation sessions, a meeting of the Fayetteville School Board and more.

Three Razorbacks scored in double-digits, including Marshawn Powell’s 18 points, to lead Arkansas to a 97-59 win over the Alcorn State Braves Saturday night at Bud Walton Arena.
