If you’re a fan of the History Channel, or if you just happen to have barn loads of junk historical antiques for sale on your property here in Arkansas, we’ve got some good news for you.
The folks from hit reality show American Pickers could soon be filming in our neck of the woods.
According to a post that appeared on the show’s Facebook page this week, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz from the show are preparing for an Arkansas trip, and are seeking “piles of rusty gold” here in the Natural State.
If you’re not familiar with the show, it follows “pickers” Mike and Frank on their quest to find valuable antiques and collectables in the junkyards, basements, garages and barns of America, with hopes to sell them for a profit.
Where and when the show will be filmed in Arkansas has not been announced, and will likely depend on whether or not its producers find enough interesting leads on “picking” locations.
Folks who think they have treasures worthy of the show can email americanpickers@cineflix.com, or call 646-493-2184.

Just go to Tontitown, the antique store capital of the world
They should get their haircut at the Magnolia Company.
Well, this should be fun…they’ll look for the most stereotypical “hillbillies”, and play up the fact that the “rubes” have no idea what northern hipsters will pay for old signs and vintage hardware. Then, after they find their supply of old lighting fixtures and pay the targeted redneck (according to some really strange metric that I still don’t understand), they’ll make some idiotically sappy closing statements about how “real” we backwoods folks are, and how much character we have. Can’t wait!
hahahaha
My thoughts exactly!
