News Briefs

The Old Post Office building could soon have a new owner.

The Old Post Office, located at 1 E. Center St., is currently under contract, and the new buyer could take possession of it sometime this spring.

The city will likely receive at least $100,000 more than expected for the former Tyson Mexican Original plant in southeast Fayetteville. In fact, it looks the stage is set for a bidding war.

The Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission held its regular monthly meeting Monday afternoon inside the Town Center on the downtown square. We posted a roundup of highlights and action taken during the meeting.

The Arkansas men’s basketball team moved to 2-1 in SEC play last night after a double-overtime 88-80 win against Auburn in Bud Walton Arena. The Hogs take on Ole Miss Saturday in Oxford.
