The first two artists for the Fayetteville Roots Festival have been announced. Arkansas-born singer/songwriter Iris DeMent and bluegrass troubadours The Del McCoury Band are scheduled to perform at the festival, set for Aug. 22-25 at various locations around Fayetteville.

The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) will return to Walton Arts Center for their third performance of the 2012-13 season on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will host the first in a series of forums with area legislators at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25.
