Paper Hearts reunion show planned for Feb. 2 at Rogue

The Paper Hearts

Do you remember The Paper Hearts?

Don’t feel bad if you don’t. The band hasn’t performed around here for about six years, but if you were around, and liked them back in the early 2000′s, you might be happy to know that they are reuniting for a one-night only show Feb. 2 at Rogue.

Disclaimer: It’s actually we, not they.

Flyer co-founder Todd Gill and the rest of the Hearts will reunite to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band’s only full-length record, Plans for the Past.

The band reunited briefly to record the 2004 EP Hard to Smile with Damon Singleton filling in on drums, but Saturday’s show will be the first performance featuring all five original members (guitarist/vocalist Gill, guitarist/vocalist Aaron Weidner, guitarist/vocalist Michelle Hedegard, drummer Andrew Rudd, and bassist Bryan Brown) since 2003.

Dustin Bartholomew (that’s me), who played piano on the album, will join the band for the performance.

Admission is $5 at the door, and locals The Kentucky Waterfalls will open the show.

    Cool!

Now, if only Woods Afire and Kings of New England were on this bill, my early 2000′s, Fayetteville nostalgia would be complete.
