Lucero in town for two-night stand at George’s Majestic Lounge

Lucero is back in town this weekend.

Despite a recent Facebook typo indicating the band would be in “LaFayette, AR” on Friday and Saturday, the Memphis rockers will indeed be here in Fayetteville for two shows at George’s Majestic Lounge on Feb. 8 and 9.

The band is still touring in support of their latest album “Women & Work,” which was released last year on ATO Records, a label home to notables as My Morning Jacket, Widespread Panic, Drive-By Truckers and Alabama Shakes.

Friday’s opener is Jimbo Mathus and The Tri-State Coalition. Support on Saturday comes from Little Rock’s Adam Faucett. Tickets to either show are $20, and can be purchase online at the George’s ticketing site.

Lucero will play a few nights in Oklahoma and Texas next week before flying to Australia for a series of mostly sold out dates in cities like Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Here’s a great song from “Women & Work:”

Lucero – Hey Darlin’ Do You Gamble?

Jimbo Mathus is great too, a long-time Honest Tunes favorite artist. See you at the show! Dgold
