With an 80 percent chance of rain and colder temperatures on the way, Fayetteville could see some snow tonight.

City officials are looking to fill 16 openings on nine of Fayetteville’s volunteer boards, commissions and committees, including vacancies on the Advertising and Promotion Commission, Animal Services Advisory Board and Planning Commission.

The Fayetteville Animal Shelter and Washington County Animal Shelter are offering adoption specials this week.

A new 21c Museum Hotel opened this week in Bentonville becoming just the third of its kind in the nation. The 104-room hotel also includes 12,000 square feet of exhibition and event space for meetings and rotating collections. Located at 200 N.E. A St., 21c is free and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A winter weather advisory was issued for Washington County from 6 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Wednesday. Forecasts call for rain transitioning to snow with possible accumulations of 1-3 inches.
