A winter weather advisory is set to go into effect at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Washington County and the surrounding areas.
According to the National Weather Service, afternoon rain is expected to transition to evening snow with possible accumulations of up to 3 inches by Wednesday morning.
Roads may become slick creating driving hazardous, especially on bridges and overpasses, the advisory stated.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid 40s on Wednesday.

Is it just me, or are the local weather forecasters worse than ever at predicting snow? They have all these fancy new computer models and are not just missing their mark — they are generally wrong.
