The Hog Pen at Baum Stadium

Wesley Hitt, UA Athletics

The lineup of events for the Walton Arts Center’s 2013 Artosphere festival haven’t been formally announced yet, but arts center officials provided a sneak peek of what’s to come this year during a board meeting earlier this week.

Arkansas senior defensive end Austin Flynn was arrested early Wednesday and charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and no proof of insurance, according to the Washington County Detention Center website.

The Fayetteville Planning Commission on Monday approved a permit to allow the Arkansas Music Pavilion to hold concerts at the Washington County Fairgrounds through 2014.

Our friend Roger Barrett checked in with Portland, OR band BRAINSTORM, who are coming to Fayetteville for a show on March 9.

UA officials say there have been no changes to the university’s policy on bringing beer into the Hog Pen at Baum Stadium, despite a Thursday morning report in the Arkansas Traveler student newspaper of an upcoming “crack down on baseball booze.”
