Fayetteville musician Shawn James is getting internet famous.

James’ version of the John Legend song “Who Did That To You” from the Django Unchained soundtrack, recently recorded for an upcoming episode of Ozarks at Large, received nearly 40,000 views on YouTube after making the front page of Reddit over the weekend.

The performance, captured by local photographer Anna Hutchison of Spring Street Portraits, features James along with locals Mark McKinney (banjo) and Nick Shoulders (harmonica).

It won’t be surprising to locals who are familiar with James’ talent, but it sure is freaking out the internet world. Nice work, folks.

According to Katy Henriksen from KUAF, the episode featuring James’ performance will air this Friday, Feb. 22 on Ozarks at Large.
