A crew works Thursday on a new Dressbarn location

Dressbarn, a women’s clothing and accessories retailer, will soon open a new location in north Fayetteville.

The 7,500-square-foot store, located between T.J. Maxx and Shoe Carnival, will open in space formerly occupied by Jewelry Galore and Jenny Craig Weight Loss Center at the Spring Creek Centre on Joyce Boulevard.

A spokesman did not immediately return a phone call Monday morning, but the company’s website lists 821 Dress Barn stores across the country, including seven in Arkansas.

The retailer is teaming up with the nonprofit organization Dress for Success, in hopes of gathering 60,000 articles of professional business attire as part of its S.O.S. – Send One Suit – Weekend donation drive, March 7 through 10. This year’s drive marks the 10th consecutive year the two organizations have partnered to help women in need. All Dressbarn stores will serve as drop-off sites for new or gently used suits, dress shirts, blazers, pants, dresses and shoes.

Nearby locations already open include the Ozark Center Point Place in Springdale and Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers.
