Earlier this week, Walton Arts Center teased on Facebook that they had a big announcement coming soon about their 2013-14 season. “We think Snooki would be excited too,” they posted.

That announcement came Thursday, when Walton Arts Center officials unexpectedly released their 2013-14 Broadway season, featuring hit musicals Jersey Boys, Chicago, I Love Lucy, The Wizard of Oz, and White Christmas.

“This year’s Broadway season is about exploring themes and characters that are deeply American,” said Jenni Taylor-Swain, the arts center’s VP of programming. “The history of rock n’ roll, Christmas tradition, fame and fortune, television and cinema will unravel on our stage and connect our audiences with these classic stories that define our culture.

“We’re also excited to give our audiences something that they have been requesting for a long time. Jersey Boys is one of the most sought after shows on Broadway and we’re thrilled to be able to bring it to Walton Arts Center.”

2012-13 broadway subscribers may call 479-571-2785 to renew a subscription, and new subscribers can purchase season tickets beginning April 15. Any single tickets still available will go on sale sometime this summer.

For more information about how to subscribe to the broadway series, visit waltonartscenter.org.
