All over Fayetteville, canvases are being stretched. You can almost smell the paint and plaster in the air. Art show season, it appears, is upon us.
First Thursday Fayetteville begins this week, there’s a local art show at Arsaga’s at the Depot, and now comes the news that the group of artists behind the “Fright Night” Halloween-themed art show last November are back with a new show this week as well.
Goop Troupe, a local group of emerging artists, will host a show focusing on featuring small, affordable artwork on Thursday, March 7 at Nightbird Books. Thee show will include mostly print media, and each artist will sell copies of their creations for under $10.
Artists with work at Thursday’s show include Robe Flax (Marc Laney), Brantley Saylor, Nick Shoulders, Owen Buffington, Ethan Fowler, Elizabeth Sharp, Trey Trashboat, Jon Peven, Neon Glittery, Eli & Jeanie Hall, Caitlin Turner, Zachary Ash, Jane Kang, Jeanie Hall, Adaire Krementz, and Matt Bean.
The show starts at around 7 p.m., and admission is a suggested $3 donation. A bit more information is available on the Facebook event for the show.
