Ever wish you could see British rock band Queen just once? So that you could hear songs like “Bicycle” and “Fat Bottom Girls” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” live and in person, and sing along with them at the top of your lungs?
Well, you can’t, because Freddy Mercury is dead. Sorry, buddy.
You could, however, check out what might be next best thing at Walton Arts Center next week.
Queen tribute band Gary Mullen and the Works, otherwise known as “One Night of Queen,” is set to perform on Friday, March 15, and we have a pair of tickets to give away to the show. Try to win them.
How to enter
Leave a comment telling us what band, living or dead, you wish would (or could) reunite for one final concert, and you’re entered.
What you’ll win
One winner will win two (2) tickets to the 8 p.m. performance of One Night of Queen on Friday, March 15 at Walton Arts Center.
A few rules (read ‘em carefully):
- You may only enter this specific contest once.
- This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, Walton Arts Center employees, and their immediate family members.
- Contest is open until 12 p.m. CST on Friday, March 8
Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won. Once we notify the winners, you’ll have 24 hours to respond via email to claim your prize. - You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.

I’d love to have been able to see The Pogues while they toured together.
A great reunion would be the Hollies. My first 8-track purchase was the Hollies. I had an under the dash player in my dad’s 1963 chevy pickup.
A realistic answer would be Journey. I’ve seen and met them. Great guys, especially Arnell, but it just seems silly to not utilize Perry while he’s got some good years left. And with Cain, Schon and Valory still kicking, that would be an awesome reunion!
The Beatles!
Talking Heads, for sure.
I would love to see a concert with the original members of the Smashing Pumpkins.
