Giveaway: Zoogma, March 26 at George’s Majestic Lounge

Zoogma fans, zoog out. Zoogma’s coming back to town.

This giveaway is now closed.

The band will return to Fayetteville for a show at George’s Majestic Lounge on Tuesday, March 26.

Zoogma is self-described as “an eclectic fusion of electronica, rock, and hip-hop,” and is known for their beat-driven, improvisational live show. They’ve made a name for themselves locally by performing at Wakaursa in 2010, and 2011, and the band is back on the 2013 lineup as well.

But first, they’ll be at George’s on March 26, and we’ve got four pairs of tickets to give away to the show. Win ‘em.

How to enter

Leave a comment telling us the name of one of the lesser-known bands on this year’s Wakarusa lineup that you think more people need to check out, and you’re entered.

What you’ll win

Four (4) winners will each win two (2) tickets each to the March 26 Zoogma show at George’s Majestic Lounge.

A few rules (read ‘em carefully):

  • You may only enter this specific contest once.
  • This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, George’s Majestic Lounge employees, and their immediate family members.
  • Contest is open until 12:00 p.m. CST on Friday, March 15.
Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won. Once we notify the winners, you’ll have 24 hours to respond via email to claim your prize.
  • You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.

Thanks to the George’s for sponsoring this contest. For more information about this performance or to purchase tickets, visit their ticketing site.

Check out “The Whigs!” They should be greater known, but are actually lesser known around here. Their early albums GIVE EM ALL A BIG FAT LIP and next MISSION CONTROL are really outstanding, make you happy with the music, sing along with the songs.

I’m not sure how “known” they are, but upon listening to the Wakarusa Spotify playlist, Milo Greene surprised me to say the least. Although they hail from Los Angeles, don’t let that fool you, this is a true pop driven, folk ensemble that truly belongs here in the rollings hills of the Ozarks. Make them feel welcome!
