Rogers-based tea shop Savoy Tea Company is expanding to Fayetteville.

Owners Tina and Bill Beyer are currently renovating a space on Center Street next to Vetro 1925 Ristorante as a second location after opening the original Savoy Tea Company in the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in September 2011.

The shop will carry over 150 types of loose-leaf teas, and will also serve a full espresso bar, soups, sandwiches, and homemade cupcakes.

“We’re been received really well,” said Tina Beyer. “People just love tea, even if they don’t know they do, we’ve found that once they’re introduced to it, we can convert them to be tea drinkers.”

Paris Morning, a black tea with caramel vanilla and lemon bergamont, and Cinnamon Orange, described as “like a liquid red hot” are some of Tina’s favorites. Their maple bacon cupcakes have also been a big hit, she said.

“We won an award for our frozen drinks,” she said. “We have great tea lattes and frappachino made with tea instead of coffee.”

In addition to serving tea in the cafe, Tina said the shop will also carry a wide selection of tea infusers, steepers, cups, and pots so customers can enjoy tea at home.

Renovations to the space are underway, and Tina said she hopes to be up and running sometime in early May.

I work by the one in Rogers–it’s fantastic! Great prices and I love the mini cupcakes too.
