ESPN’s College Football Live to feature Arkansas QB competition Wednesday

Razorback fans who can’t wait to find out how the race to replace departing quarterback Tyler Wilson is going this spring might want to take a late lunch today.

UA Athletics officials announced this afternoon that ESPN’s College Football Live will air a segment on the quarterback competition at Razorback spring practice today at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN2.

Sophomore quarterback Brandon Allen and senior Brandon Mitchell are thought to be the favorites to win the starting job this spring, but transfers Taylor Reed (Memphis) and A.J. Derby (Iowa), along with veteran reserve Brian Buehner are also competing for the position. This fall, freshmen Austin Allen and Damon Mitchell will also be added to the mix..

ESPN’s College Football live was originally scheduled to air at 2:30 p.m on ESPN, but the show was moved up to 2 p.m. on ESPN2 due to a last minute scheduling change.
