The Arkansas-Oklahoma baseball game planned for today has been canceled due to forecast rain. The game was set to host Woofstock 2013, a bring-your-dog-to-the-stadium event, but that event has been postponed.

Locals concerned about a hog farm recently permitted to be built along a tributary of the Buffalo National River in Arkansas are planning a protest at noon today at the corner of Garland Avenue and Maple Street.

Vandergriff Elementary School students are collecting used book donations for the Charlie Brown used book sale, an annual fundraising event for the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.

Fayetteville’s Urban Forestry Advisory Board is seeking nominations for its second annual sustainable landscape competition.
