Outdoor activities scheduled for Thursday evening as part of the First Thursday Fayetteville monthly artwork have been cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather, the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau announced today.

Art openings scheduled at Fayetteville Underground and The Lightbulb Club will take place as planned.

Fayetteville Underground features work this month by Little Rock illustrator Bryan Moats, and paintings by Fayetteville artist Sarah Norsworthy. As always, resident artists will display work inside the gallery. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Lightbulb Club features work from 13 local artists as part of XXYXX, a multi-media show that explores and challenges gender roles. The show includes performances by Thunderlizards and Perpetual Werewolf. Artists include Jane Kang, Kayla Moore, Sarah Creasman, Paul Herrera, Anna Hutchison, Whitney Johnston, Sarah Levine, Landon Montgomery, Paul Skains, Lyndsey Smith and Clay Wilson. The show includes a cash-only sushi bar by Meiji Japanese Cuisine. A $3 donation is suggested at the door. The exhibit opens at 5 p.m., and music starts at 7 p.m.
