Jack Hanna

Famous Zookeeper Jack Hanna will be at Walton Arts Center on Friday night, showing off his collection of exotic animals beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18-28.

Also, the folks from the Seedling Film Festival are hosting an event at Nightbird Books to announce that submissions for the 2013 festival are now open. It’s called Sow Your Seed, it’s free to attend, and performances by Sound Affects Improv, Houston Hughes, and Pat Ryan Key from the band ‘I Do Declare’ are scheduled.

George’s has local favorites Big Un’s for happy hour, and local country-rockers Backroad Anthem will celebrate the release of a new EP later on.

Local video game masters The One Ups and Lucio are at Smoke & Barrel Tavern, and there’s a metal show at Rogue with Vore, verscathed, and Giant of the Mountain.

Old Crow Medicine Show

Bluegrass favorites Old Crow Medicine Show are scheduled to perform at the Arkansas Music Pavilion, weather permitting. Tickets are $32-$77. Update: The Old Crow Medicine Show concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 23.

Springfest, which was originally scheduled for Saturday on Dickson Street has been postponed. Here’s more information about that.

It looks like Fayetteville Foam Fest, originally scheduled for the Walton Arts Center parking lot will move inside the WAC as of right now. Update: Foam Fest organizers say they were not able to secure ABC approval to move Foam Fest indoors. The event will take place as planned in the WAC parking lot.

Walton Arts Center’s trail mix concert series has also be moved to their indoor facilities. Here’s more info on the scheduling changes.
