There’s a magical place nestled on a mountaintop in the center of Fayetteville.
A place for family reunions, weddings and retreats, complete with lush gardens, rolling lawns, old trees, and outdoor gathering spaces for telling stories, recalling old memories, and creating new ones.
If you’ve lived in Fayetteville a long time, and you’ve never explored the grounds of Mount Sequoyah Retreat & Conference Center, you’re missing out on one of the jewels our city.
We’re thrilled to be working with them as the latest sponsor of our site, and we’re excited to shed some light on ways to take advantage of the beautiful grounds, and the things happening on the 32 acres overlooking Fayetteville.
Mount Sequoyah has over 130 cottage and guest rooms, several of them recently renovated, scattered throughout the picturesque grounds. The rooms can be rented individually, or large families can go in together to rent an entire cottage. Most of the rooms are hotel-style, but some have living room and kitchenette spaces available. The unique lodging options at Mount Sequoyah are perfect for family reunions, or for booking blocks of rooms for special occasions.
The grounds at Mount Sequoyah are great for weddings, either in the quaint, indoor St. Martin Chapel (up to 125 guests), or at the beautiful outdoor sanctuary at Vesper Point (up to 400 guests).
Mount Sequoyah is also a great place for corporate retreats and meetings, with a variety of meeting spaces for team building, brainstorming sessions, seminars, and more for groups of just about any size. Full service catering is also available.
There are five transitional-living houses for rent on the grounds for individuals or families who are looking for a place to live in the heart of Fayetteville.
Mount Sequoyah also has a large swimming pool that’s offered to the public through a variety of season passes available during the summer months, ranging from $200-$400 for pool access for the entire summer. The Mount Sequoyah Marlin Swim team is now registering swimmers aged 5 – 16 years old to compete with other area swim teams!
They’re also now registering children for a day camp called Kanakuk Kampout, set for July 8-12 on the grounds.
Basically, there’s a ton of awesome things happening at Mount Sequoyah, and we can’t wait to tell you more about it in the coming months.
Please help us welcome them to the Flyer Family!
