Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 12, and a local organization is offering up a unique way to honor that special lady in your life.
Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas is collecting Mother’s Day tributes online, while raising funds for their organization to provide financial assistance to low-income single parents pursuing higher education in Northwest Arkansas.
Submissions include 75 words or less about a mother, sister, grandmother, or wife that you think deserves a little love for Mother’s Day this year. The organization is accepting tributes through the end of May, and you can follow along with the program on Twitter using the hashtag #NWAMoms13.
Several Mothers Day tributes have already been submitted by community members, and you can submit your own by visiting spsfnwa.org.
