The Walton Arts Center is looking to build a permanent space for the Arkansas Music Pavilion, but not in the venue’s hometown of Fayetteville. A vote on moving the AMP to Rogers is expected during a special board meeting today.

WAC officials are also seeking to restructure their governing board to reflect a more regional, multi-campus approach.

The 15th-ranked Razorback baseball team on Sunday was selected as the No. 2 seed in the Manhattan Regional of the NCAA baseball tournament, and will face No. 3 seed Bryant at 7 p.m. on Friday.

This week’s scheduled public meetings include a City Council agenda session, a special meeting of the Walton Arts Center board, Street Committee, Planning Commission and more.
