The public is invited to attend a dedication ceremony for the Fayetteville District Judge Rudy Moore Courtroom at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 inside the courtroom at 176 S. Church Avenue.

The courtroom will be named after the late district judge who died April 11 after 22 years of service first as the city’s municipal judge and then as the Fayetteville district court judge.

Moore played an active role in the design and furnishing of the LEED Gold certified court building which opened in 2009 in downtown Fayetteville.

Speakers at the dedication include Mayor Lioneld Jordan, City Attorney Kit Williams, City Prosecutor Casey Jones and Circuit Judge William Storey. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
